Since this is a PC title, direct and total sales are up to the discretion of the publisher (otherwise it would be released through NPD). VGChartz is the next closest, as they are frequently cited by reputable sources but they tend to never be quite accurate.

I'd expect a "____ copies of The Sims 4 shipped" instead of a sales figure. I have a feeling they truly and royally screwed up the mainstream hype for this title. A shame too.
