The thing is, Gaga already had the Venus era planned, from looks to performances, so switching up the single at the last minute made for an unclear single era, as well as messy performances (see the X-Factor DWUW performance). I'd be mad too.
True enough. However, X-factor was really the one performance that DWUW was screwed for being so last minute. But she slayed the AMA performance, Alan Carr. Even the SNL performance, which was kind of awkward/funny, was still a good performance. But the issue is that after the switch it seems that Gaga didn't really care anymore to promo the single. She gave up.

I wish I knew the name, but there was a Calvin Harris special ages ago on some music channel and he basically thanked Gaga for paving the way for EDM being played on mainstream radio. I mean, that acclaim and recognition of impact from the world's current highest earning / most successful DJ.

The ONLY song on ARTPOP that slayed me from the first listen was DWUW. I knew that this would be my fave song on the album the moment I heard the snippet
