For someone who made a name for herself by tearing people down, this is a fitting end.
May she go swiftly into the night.

That comment shows how little you really know about Joan. She made a name for herself as a theater actress, turned comedian, turned television personality, turned the first (and only) woman to ever host a network Late Night show, turned daytime talk show host, turned red carpet fashion reporter, turned reality star, turned host of Fashion Police.
Her shading of celebrities has only really been her trademark for the past few years, as society has gotten more and more obsessed with fame.
Joan is a trailblazer who's done more for the cause of feminism and gay rights (she was one of the few to speak out during the AIDS crisis) than you'll ever know.

She's a comedian. The way some people are talking about her, you would swear she created AIDS, cancer and everything else wrong in the world. She is an insult comic. That's her shtick. More so in the past few years, as she has seen a market for it in Fashion Police. People need to lighten up, seriously. As if nobody else doesn't talk bad about people. At least she's funny and original.
Anyone "coming" for a person on their deathbed, especially someone innocent, while simultaneously trying to act superior than them needs to shut the hell up and sit the f down.

What is so funny about her saying the children in Israel "deserve to die"?
Keep on supporting the disgusting actions I guess

The comedy work that she used to do on E! Is actually just that, an act
The only reason a show like that exists is because PEOPLE WANT TO WATCH IT, if people didn't wanted to then the show wouldn't have existed in the first place.
Funny how people here come at Rivers for making a living out of making "mean" jokes about celebrities and then spend everyday here talking anout the same celebrities and more often than shading them as well, wich just shows that such show exist because there's enough people willing to watch something like it
By the way, her commenta on some of the world's latest tragedies are disgusting. I'll leave it at that.

This lady has said a bunch of mean & hurtful things to/about innocent people but wishing death is a bit much. She is still someones mother & grandma. I can't imagine what the family is going through.
If she doesn't end up making it, I at least hope she wakes up so the family can say goodbye properly.

Here is a suggestion: stop reading headlines and read the full story and you'll see her words were taken out of contest.

All these celebrities need someone to make fun of them anyway.
Most of them actually love and respect Joan and know what comedy is.
