In a digital age where things go viral and one-hit wonders are everywhere, consistency is rare. Katy proved to have that, compared to Gaga who keeps declining in every department, from singles, to album sales and tour gross.
That's why my bet is on Katy and not Lady Gaga.

But Katy's hits actually are though Hot N Cold remains a big recurrent hit despite all her TD hit singles (which did admittedly overshadow the good sis I Kissed a Girl), many of which are also big recurrent hits and Roar and Dark Horse are shaping up to be the same.

The monsters underestimate Katy's power and way overestimate Gaga's impact. She was the next big thing back in 2009 but she blew it by overdoing the gimmicks instead of letting her music speak for itself (which did not break any boundaries like she and the monsters claim it did). Without being shady Gaga is already kind of forgotten by the GP, she probably won't stand the test of time in 25 years time

Why can't we all agree that they're both not going anywhere? Gaga's sold over 150,000,000 records. Katy has sold nearly 100,000,000 records. People who sell that much don't just disappear. I'd get the whole "x will be forgotten" if we were talking about one-hit wonders, but we're not, we're literally talking about two of the highest-selling recording artists of all time. They're not going anywhere any time soon.

And this **** is just ridiculous for **** sakes. As someone who frequents ATRL, you should know for a fact that no one has forgotten about the meat dress since it's brought up almost every single day. The damn thing was displayed in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Just stop.
