That's why stanning for Nicki is so much fun. I honestly didn't think she'd have much commercial success this era. I was content with a quality album and critical acclaim and figured PF:RR era was her commercial peak, but she pleasantly proved me and everyone else wrong.

I don't know very much about charts, but do you guys think Billboard (or somebody) would have announced earlier that Anaconda will go #1? Like they do with songs mid-week "[Song Name] to top the Hot 100..." or something like that. Could a shock rise, as Kane stated, be possible?

Like many of the songs in the top 10, this track benefits from a performance on the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, which were broadcast Aug. 24, the final day of the latest sales tracking week. "Bang Bang" was one of the three songs that opened the awards show, as Grande also performed her own "Break Free" and Minaj did her single "Anaconda." Taylor was always predicted 540k, and that is what people have been basing their predictions on.. Taylor 540k and Nicki 110K, a prediction which Nicki succeeded and passed. Now it's time to see how many US streams it got. 10-19M should get #3/#2, 20-33 would guarantee #2 and 34M+ would get the #1 spot. That's the impression I've been getting in the chart threads, so don't take what i'm saying as gospel.
Taylor is getting #1 though, so congrats to her, Nicki has a better chance next week tbh.

313k in total, thanks to KING ChartNews who clearly has the exact total tea unlike the rest of us struggling with the Billboard articles. 
EDIT: Wait, I think he went off of the Kworb estimation of 52k for last week. Smh. I could have done that, but I didn't consider it to be reliable enough. Kworb has really great estimations, but they can be a couple thousand off here and there.
