Everyone has been off their game this week. HHDX didn't even post the top ten best selling rap singles for last week's charts. I really wanted to know how much Anaconda sold in its second week since it was out of the Digital Top Ten and we don't get Soundscan leaks anymore.
But, it's all good because Anaconda rebounded and we should have updated sales today.
I feel like I can't even be mad at Taylor. I mean, she gave Super Bass her come up Ugh, she couldn't at least wait to release after her VMA performance???? Taylor sis, you were prolly gonna be #1 regardless but this could have been Nicki's week.
I guess there's still hope in the future. Bang Bang deserves #1 too, but I don't think it will. Ugh, timing hates my faves.

Na Anaconda will probably sell a little more than last week and drop 25-50% in streaming while Taylor's is gaining airplay crazy. I'd be surprised if it's even Top 3 next week. What is life?

That's true, but I think that Anaconda will have a "normal first week"-esque streams for its second week if not slightly better. 65m WW (or however much she got in her first since we didn't get VEVO charts this week) is huge and she'll prolly only do half of that WW this week. I personally see 15m-30m WW with 5m-15m of that being US streams.
5m-15m is still a lot considering you had videos like BF only get 4.8 million US views their first week and BW only got 2.9 million US views in its first week.
I think Anaconda, at least, has the potential of staying in the Top 10 next week due to stronger sales and large streams. As the week goes on, though, my prediction might change and the race for #1 might end up being just AATB and SIO.

Nicki has had surprise after surprise this era for me.
From Lookin' Ass/freestyles/remixes to PnP slaying Rhy/Urban to Bang Bang (+ all three girls sharing lead) to the ***Flawless remix to Anaconda becoming an instant hit and huge moment for her. As well as people actually coming to her defense and taking her seriously thanks to her toned down image. People don't mind saying they see it for Nicki even if they don't like everything she does. Lemme continue to forget what I wanted from this era, because she has delivered ten fold.

Well the way she released songs on sound cloud for buzz singles I really didn't think she would do that. This is literally the first era she just release tracks just for the ****s of it. However I still love all of the buzz singles/tracks she released. They are all hip-hop tracks. No pop at all.
For as singles I'm like what the hell. Nicki really trolled us for releasing all those buzzes and give us that poppy hip hop tracks for the single. If she want to do a slow song I rather her to go with the "no love" flow. Even though it's not pop , but she is singing and rapping.
PNP is a cute song but not a good song to be a lead single.
Overall Nicki Minaj really flipping her cards right now. But if she gives us something like the lead single for the entire album. I don't know what I'm going to do with her .
