If that didn't make sense, let me explain. Poor people are less likely to be successful. However, it just so happens that a lot of black people are poor. So it seems like "black people can't get ahead in this world," when the problem is really that "poor people can't get ahead in this world."
Of course the average white person may make more than the average black person because blacks are generally poorer than whites. A white male who grows up in the "ghetto" is not likely to make it any farther in life than his black counterparts.
The problem isn't with race.

But why are Black people generally more of a lower class in comparison to Whites? Because of racial segregation. If you make a Black male and a White male start from scratch at the same time at the same place, it'd be far more likely for the White male to become more successful. Racism still exists.
