Beyoncé - Beyoncé
Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP2 or Jack White - Lazaretto
Pharrell Williams - G I R L
Sam Smith - In the Lonely Hour
Various Artists - Frozen Soundtrack
They might give Ed Sheeran a nomination over Pharrell.
Album of the Year:
She's So Unusual performed by Cyndi Lauper
Purple Rain performed by Prince & The Revolution
Can't Slow Down performed by Lionel Richie
Born in the U.S.A. performed by Bruce Springsteen
Private Dancer performed by Tina Turner
A star-studded lineup with all good-to-great albums. Sad that the weakest album had to win it.

I haven't thought about Ed as a serious contender.
... I could see it. Maybe Pharrell would get snubbed, and I can't say it's not deserved. G I R L has not aged well for me, and I hardly play it after less than 6 months.
I think Frozen will end up taking the award. It's better than BEYONCE, it was way more popular, and it will come right after Disney's huge holiday push.
Do we feel like we are witnessing the birth of a new generation of pop stars with Ariana, Iggy, Charli, etc? Kinda weird that all of our faves are aging out of favor with the GP and these new girls are swooping in.
If by GP you mean teenage to women in their early twenties. Sure
I can guarantee you not many people know what a Charlie XCX is.
Plus history shows transition don't come in waves.
