Why is it strange? I think it's unsurprising to say the least. I'm almost sure that if released today by an unknown singer- videos for Alejandro, Born This Way and Applause - the last one would get the most fans.

Most people who start stanning nowadays, stan for success. Did you not see the return of the Beyonce avi's come December 2013? People don't want to start stanning for a person with a flop era it's just not the norm nowadays so it's weird to see people start stanning for ha this era considering the lack of hit singles and all the media backlash

I forgot which store it was but there was a store in my mall that threw a Gaga party for the FAME launch perfume. It was amazing! There was food and Gaga lookalikes, and they played her albums.
She still bops to ARTPOP.
