Pittoo is his own character in the Kid Icarus games and has a pretty different moveset than Pit, but if they didn't change him at all from Pit there's no reason for him to have his own character

Agreed. They could even change Peach's frying pan to a tennis racket for Daisy and give her a sports theme moveset.

Ok this is the first time I've been disappointed in this entire generation of Smash Bros. Why the hell would they get rid of Ice Climbers and Lucas? They're completely different characters with completely different play styles than any of the current roster! Especially ICs. There is literally NO logical reason for them to be cut. In favor of Dark Pit and Dr. Mario, are you ****ing kidding me? They could have at least replaced them with some newcomers from poorly represented franchises, like Star Fox or LoZ. Mario and Pokemon characters are like a fourth of the roster by themselves. The only good thing that came out of this is Shulk and Bowser Jr. not being a clone.

I don't think I can just blindly follow what I'm seeing .

I wish this leak was real because of Duck Hunt Dog and Dixie, but also not because of Ice Climbers being excluded.

While I could be entirely wrong, some things just don't add up to me. The roster screen has mere copy and pastes that, with a little photoshop work, can be put into the roster (for the new characters they're claiming will be in). I don't know, it just seems odd to me. Dog is an exception but it still comes off as weird to me.

Here's the main thing I'm trying to figure out: the videos. I'd love to debate these because I'd like for this leak to be real, but too many things don't add up to me and I'll explain. I haven't double checked, but can anyone confirm that the Kirby/Pikachu/Bowser models are at least VERY similar to their brawl models? This isn't the strangest part though. I'm suspicious about Bowser Jr. It should be obvious that Brawl isn't difficult to edit the coding and css, right? Bowser Jr gives me huge Diddy Kong teas. The cannonball could be an edited version of his peanut attack, and Bowser Jr propelled himself up with his koopa clown once. Doesn't that seem a little weird? Not to mention the animations and everything were just like Diddy's rocket propeller. As far as I know, their air movement is similar too.

Another major point of mine: Ganondorf. I haven't paid much attention to the movesets of recurring characters, but his caught my eye. Ganondorf is using the EXACT same moveset with the EXACT same animations as he did in Brawl. This seems a bit shady to me.

I'll address one more point, and it's something someone else said before. I'm just clarifying it more. Emblems. In the collage of leaked photos you can see that on one photo of the selecting screen, you can see the character emblems in the tab above them AND in the background of their portrait. Well, there were leaked photos of another 4 selection screen, and there were no emblems on either of these. (This was the photo with Dog's art).


I'll just lay these points out as I think they're good for dicussion, I'll add to this if I notice anything else. Keep in mind that I'm not entirely confident with what I'm saying and I don't know if I'm just being too analytical or anything. This is just what I've noticed.

Apparently, Ice Climbers needed to be cut because the 3DS does not have the graphical capabilities to have four players play as Ice Climbers at once in the same match... Which kinda sucks, but it's totally plausible. I also think the addition of Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, and Lucina is pretty stupid, especially if they're all clones. Also, it's basically confirmed that Ganondorf is another Captain Falcon clone.

Ice Climbers and Lucas will probably be DLC, or they'll be in the Wii U version. The 3DS and Wii U versions won't have the same characters by themselves at first. You will probably need to connect both versions to get all of the characters.
