I used to be FAT, then I put in some hard work and now I'm in very good shape. That's proof that fat people can be skinny it's just they're lazy to do so

Now that I'm thin I get heat from overweight people. Not that long ago I was in doing my groceries and this obese woman walked up and said 'why are you only buying fruit and vegetables? You're thin enough, get some fat on those bones, you look ill' I turned and looked at her trolley which was packed with processed junk and said 'why are you buying all that rubbish, you're fat enough' The look of absolute horror on her face that I dare defend myself. Like bitch, you can't think it's okay to thin shame me but not okay for me to do the same to you. The double standards People should learn to mind their own business.

Great Reading. And the lady at the grocery store Great for the reaction too. Put people on their place. No double standards.

It's not even a real thing. I'm skinny as hell and I don't give a **** if Meghan was (which she isn't) shaming skinny people. The message of her song is that every body type is fine. Skinny white people love to get offended over everything

I don't understand how someone could possibly be offending by being called a "skinny bitch". I honestly view that as a compliment. You should own whatever body type you have! I'd kill for someone to make fun of me for being skinny... I'd rather have that than be made fun of for being overweight. Sorry if that sounds offensive.

How can you "shame" someone for having a superior body? fat people shaming skinny people would be like an ugly person saying "haha, you're so pretty, poor you!"

Power to them. I feel empowered whenever a fat person/someone tells me I look too skinny, tbh. Alas, am no longer an twink but graduated into an otter. Le sigh.

People do the most when it comes to this song.
It's not attacking thin people, it's attacking society's extreme thinness standard that so many people become anorexic or bulimic to reach.
The line "Go ahead and tell them skinny bitches that" is in jest. She says "No, I'm just playing" right after.

People can thin shame me all they want. If it escalates to some kind of assault I'll just run away from their "healthy" but slow bodies.

Just don't make fun of people for their bodies period
Obviously its not healthy to be on the extreme of either end(underweight or overweight) but its none of your business unless they ask.
My sister is naturally thin and she hates when people point it out.. She used to get teased a lot and tries really hard to put on some weight. Like she counts calories eats protein bars etc but it doesn't work.

Are you gonna sit there and try to convince me that fat shaming and skinny shaming are the same? Most of these song lyrics calling out skinny bitches are said in jest. It's not serious. There's no real malicious intent. So someone calls you skinny, so what? When someone calls you a fat bitch though.. that's something else entirely. All of a sudden you're sloppy pig who eats nothing but junk food.
We all judge fat people, whether we admit to it or not.

This is so biased and one-sided.
Excusing song lyrics as having no "malicious intent" is ridiculous. Even if one of the top songs in the country doesn't intend to be hurtful to people, does that mean skinny people won't be offended? No, of course not! If the lyrics aren't said "seriously," that doesn't mean that people won't take them seriously or be affected by them seriously.

It's as unnecessary as thin people fat shaming.
Everyone is aware of their body size and it's issues if any and they're entitled to do what they want with their body.
and I'm not reading that paragraph, find a better font.

You can make people feel good about their bodies without shaming other people for their body types. That just creates more problems. That's all I'm going to say about this.

Let me add skinny people to the list of people whose problems I don't care that much about. They can take their seat next to straight white men, rich people, politicians, and Christians.
Poor skinny people. Their lives are so hard, and fat people are so mean to them!
