No, it's just something I noticed. Overall sales declined from 2006 to 2008, and Fearless debuted with 592k. Overall sales declined from 2008 to 2010 and Speak Now debuted with 1.04 million. Overall sales declined form 2010 to 2012 and Red debuted with 1.2 million. Overall sales declined form 2012 to 2014 and LP5 will debut higher imo.
Like Taylor said in her op-ed, people are still buying albums, but they're only buying the ones they care about/are being very selective about the albums they buy instead of stream or download illegally.

That explained why Taylor released album every 2 years and music industry wanted her to do once a year.
I prefer 2 years for her to write more quality songs, with enough accumulation of time, feeling and inspirations. If she goes full time acting (which can provide more inspirations), I don't mind wait for 3 years, but only once please.
