Here are some quick ideas.
A Western Theme party, who doesn't love to get all dressed up and it's to help out a good cause. You can charge a fee for the entrance which would go to the charity. Also you can have people being "arrested" and have the guests pay their "bail" and that's some more money being raised right there. If not it can be like a "Hollywood nights" theme party.
If you want something more classy you can have a like mixer party. Have an auction, when it comes to things like this people don't really care they just bid and buy because they know the money is for a good cause.
A simple BBQ, its outdoors, who doesn't love good food and music. All the food would be sold and the money used for whatever cause you guys are doing this for.
If you don't like any of those ideas, I got some more. I used to do this for a profession.
