it's because the hot 100 chart counts the sales from Monday to Sunday, while it counts the airplay audience from Wednesday to Tuesday
as she's releasing the song to radio on monday, the airplay for monday and tuesday will not be counted as the same week as the sales
she's huge so with only 2 days of airplay she could chart somewhere between #60-#100 without sales and streaming.
So much promo! But now she's really got to deliver at the VMAs. If everyone is talking about Nicki's performance or someone else's the day after the VMAs, it'll put a dent in Taylor's momentum. She really needs to slay on MTV.
so it will debut one week earlier. no #1 debut again. i'm not really complaining though
