First, pretty sure it was Taylor who rejected this project, comparing the impact of "Safe&Sound" with the quietness of The Giver soundtrack, Weinstein definitely wanted her to write a song for The Giver.

Second, considering what Taylor and her team did these couple of months (so quiet, even avoided interviews at TCA this week), they definitely wanted to simplify The Giver's influence to LP5 because it's hard to predict.

Third, based on The Giver reviews, everything is on the right track now, LP5 will be more successful than we thought.

Edit: Personally, I'm so disappointed that we didn't get The Giver song by Taylor, it's such a good chance with so many inspirations.

My guess is she's just trying to stay healthy, since she'll be extremely busy for the next several weeks (and beyond). Girl needs her rest.

So because of her good review from The Giver (don't need to worry about any negative impact from The Giver to LP5 anymore), is it possible that Taylor decided to move the promotion of the lead single a little bit ahead? Like reveal some information during one or both of the 2 interviews tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Anyway, both Jimmy Fallon (tomorrow) and Seth Meyers (the day after tomorrow) are great though, can not wait for the interviews!!!
