In case anyone was wondering, development on IPS4 (the software ATRL will be upgrading to) is going
really well.
The preview site recently updated some of their framework and the system response has increased substantially, making the site much more functional at a reasonable rate. Which means the developers have discovered ways to make all of these great, new, innovative features work together better and without taking as long to load. There have been plenty of new enhancements over the past month or so, and the site has noticeably progressed since the debut.
For anyone that didn't notice, the
IPS4 website is now open for EVERYONE to view/test without having to register. So, if you're really anxious about the preview, you can go check that out right now
here. Just keep in mind that this is just the
bare minimum interface/skin. The site is just for users to experience/preview the new features, some of which ATRL might not even use in their final design.
Anyway, I just wanted to post this quickly to let everyone know what's happening with the update on IPs side. There seems to be a general census by users that
early September will see the release of a beta and the full, perfected software will be available around
Winter 2014. Everything is looking REALLY promising though! The IP team is definitely pushing to get this done ASAP, while still making it the best product possible.
Hope Athens won't mind me bringing this up after he closed the New ATRL thread. There seems to be a surge of interest in the update though, and I figured it'd be okay to make a general post to reassure people that it's coming.
