I'm not worried, it's a jazz single and it did better than both her last single and her last jazz single. And what do you mean by last major label release? She'll sign to a label again, even if it's not Interscope.

Being a jazz single or not isn't really relevant. The Lady Is A Tramp wasn't even pushed as being anything at all. It sold off her name alone. For it to be already out of the top 1500 doesn't exactly seem to preclude the "career saving album" that @salesmoss (on Twitter) claimed Cheek to Cheek would be.

And... What I mean is, she's more or less likely to go independent for "creative freedom" if she doesn't re-sign with Interscope.

Don't apply logic here, people forget it's 2014 and a jazz single. I believe it's peak was 29 btw not that it matters that much but still, top 30 right.

TFM is counted as an EP so after this it's still 1 album before she reaches the end of her contract.

The single has ZERO radio play and ZERO performances. All those 16k sales were only hardcorde monsters that bought it.

The album will sell more (although I don't expect it to be more than 100k-150k) cause there will be promo. Except one Good Morning America appearance for 4 minutes there was nothing lol.

There will be a tv special around the album release..

Lady+Tramp sold on her name alone but sold less...

Anyway, this IS a side project so people should really learn to expect much less sales. This album is not to "save" her career for the fans and the GP. It's mostly to change for the media, so they start reporting about her talent etc etc. Once they turn around, the GP will too.

Anything Goes sales are no inclination of C2C sales, and even if they are, this is a side project, as has been stated time and time again. We can pretty much all agree that she did it for the critical praise.

Just because it's Gaga (a so-called flop, fad, declined, no-more-relevant pop star) doesn't mean a song she releases on iTunes should sell 500k+ first week no matter what its genre or its release climate is

and you guys know VERY WELL that her name is not enough to sell a song anymore. Like, stop with the contradictions and the delusion.

If Gaga really expected it to take her career to dizzying heights again, it wouldn't be Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga, it would be the other way around. Let's be real here, it's a side project, like Rihanna's soundtrack album she's got coming up.

I suggest for now we focus on enjoying Gaga's inevitable flawless Japan looks, wait for stadium pictures of the artRAVE and see what treats are in store for us in the form of the app and the rest of the campaign for Eau De Gaga. I think the months ahead are going to be flawfree tbh.
