I just love Ellen. I want a Taylor interview on Conan and Dave Letterman too. I've never watched Seth Meyer's show but people are saying he's a snoozefest zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
and an interview with Steve Colbert, Jon Stewart. Taylor's smart and witty, she could keep up with them. Target that 25-45 year old intellectual demographic.
Taylor definitely has a chance to be Artist of the Decade. The only other possible contender so far is Adele. 21 will win Album of the Decade because no-one including Adele is going to touch 11 million copies sold. At this point, no-one really knows how Adele's future albums will do. She has only 2 previous albums and only one has been a mega-smash. She might do an Alanis and have massively declining sales after one mega-smash. Adele wrote 21 after a bad breakup. And since then she has had a child and got into a stable long term relationship, so her mind-space is very different to when she wrote 21. So who knows what effect that will have on her music?
I love both Artist's so I like both of them to do well. It's actually a good thing for music to have two genuine artists who actually write their own songs do so well commercially.
I do too and I also think Adele could become another Alanis or Norah. But, Adele managed to avoid the Grammy's "Best New Artist" curse. You win and never heard from again. She went on to sell 10 mil albums in the US.
Another reason why I never wanted Taylor to sell really big and keep it consistent (6 mil copies sold WW each album). You're successful , but not crazy MJ successful. The media will have field day.
Adele did it right. Big Success, go into hiding, put out another album 4 years later.

I agree with you about Adele doing it right but I think the album delay also had to do with her pregnancy and son. I will say that I want Taylor to have a legendary album and get a diamond album.
