I just bout that curling mositurzer and I keep hearing I should twist my hair after I put it in and then take it out but it seem like it will take forever especially for the back cause its long but not extremely long.

I never thought of it like that. I just thought that white men rarely got buzzcut hairstyles for the same reason they rarely had dreadlocks/cornrows - cos it doesn't suit them.

I always wanted to grow my hair but I finally got the courage last year and lord black people are the only ones who can't deal. I've had white people encourage me to grow a fro before I even decided to but all my black friends and family are like no MAAM. I even asked on of my friends why do I have to shave my head while all the white, asian etc people at my school can have long hair. her response was "Because they have good hair."

Seriously before I went natural my mother would always pressure me to get another relaxer or put weave in my hair and I always got so pissed. When I cut my hair in Dec. and went to see family for the holidays they were all like aww you're going natural but you had such pretty hair!

I wanted to do it way sooner and I don't care what others think anymore I can't wait till my hair grows big to see what people gotta say

They don't get those styles because they have African origins and also because it just isn't popular for them. They couldn't. Care less about emulating our hair... us in the other hand

Also black men were the main ones to wear relaxers in the 50s, women would only use flat irons. I mean like Callisto said I don't see why black guys are the only ones wearing their hair over 1 centimeter long and black women wearing weaves and perms, the texturizers Latinos wear and the shaved head styles black men wear.

Waiit. Now that i think of it, only white ppl have encouraged me to get an afro. It's probably a trap, so they have more to hold onto

I remember when I got a high top, one white guy said he wished he had African hair so he could wear it like mine. I was really taken aback. I never met a wigger that genuinely wanted to be black b4

My friend goes to one of them special technical high schools for the gifted or wateva and there's like 5 Black people there including himself (well of course more than 5). You have a lot of rich White kids in there who have never seen Black people in person before asking him why his hair looks/feels the way it does, touching his hair etc, etc.

He started an NAACP club at his school for which I am very proud of him.

Anyway, I have been searchin for street dance classes local to me and they are all dry af, and run by white people (that dance to taio cruz). Even in the most hood areas . All my black friends can dance, I don't know what kind of secret society I have been left out of.
