Beyonce's never had a single even close to the success of BOMT

How disrespectful to Beyoncé. She's a bigger phenomenon than Britney and Gaga combined. The biggest female artist of her generation by a MILE.

How could Bey be the biggest female artist when she has smaller impact, smaller album sales, etc.?

Beyonce outlasted them all

Are you so sure about that? Britney's spent years in the top ten best-selling female artists of all-time WW. Bey won't ever get there at this rate.

The industry shift i'm talking about happened after 2003. When every single R&B/pop girl/group started dancing, looking and/or sounding like Beyoncé. You know, Amerie, Christina Milian, Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, etc. It just became a staple.
Obviously some of Britney's newer videos might still influence concepts and such. But her style, her way of performing and dancing... It don't see it that much anymore. Everything is hyper-feminized, like Bey.
|
Their shift in performance style to songs like "Survivor" was exactly in-line with the industry shift that came after Britney's appearance.
I don't disagree that Bey had influence on them, but it's a lot less impressive when you consider Rih reached her peak when influenced more by Britney than Bey (her biggest song remains a Britney reject), PCD were later influenced by Britney and the other bunches were flops. On the flip side, Britney inspired artists like Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson (a flop musically that went on to be a big star), Mariah Carey (Heartbreaker), etc.
If you were more familiar with Britney, you'd recognize it more.

Well, since some of y'all love to use frontloaded to describe self title, I don't see any problem with using it to describe some of y'all faves career.
But seriously, her career has continued to peak, even at her lowest. Which is remarkable in itself.

No, her career peaked in 1998 with TWOTW. Her solo career peaked in 2003. A mountain has only one peak, sis. Learn how to use metaphorical language especially if you're going to try to talk down to people.

I'm living in the present where my fave has only been outsold by legends such as Whitney, Mariah, Madonna and Celine. Fume a bit, though

I don't think anyone has cared about something as simple a Britney pregnancy or lip-synching scandal as much as they do with Bey. It's CNN worthy. And MTV News barely cares about Gaga's relationship... but every station stays speculating on the queens marriage.
|
This is sig-worthy. Britney made national news for slipping while getting groceries. Bey has never gotten close to that level of attention.

Britney impacted HyunA in the sense that she sells her body and dance moves while barely holding a tune. The influence on SNSD is almost non-existent because they never really had that cute-sexy transition, they just matured more with every comeback, influence on T-ARA is extremely obvious as their careers were front-loaded and fell from the top because of their personal lives. Let's not even go into TVXQ....

You are so delusional that it hurts.
HyunA's "Bubble Pop" is basically HIAM, SIWAK and HIR from Femme Fatale. Her Change promotions had her dressed and performing like ITZ era Britney. Like do you even follow her? YAAJ by 4Minute literally rips-off If U Seek Amy.
And SNSD went from Gee to Genie to Oh! to RDR. The fact that you honestly think they didn't do the cute-sexy transition is embarrassing. Gee is aegyo filled, Genie is full of sexual undertones and Lolita concepts, Oh! is full out Lolita and RDR is dark and overtly, overly sexy for S. Korea's 2010 atmosphere.
T-ARA's influence came from DBD sounding like a rip-off of Criminal and IGCBOY taking Womanizer's beat and filling itself full of Britney-references.
You don't even know where TVXQ debuted, do you? **** outta here with you trying to talk about K-Pop and not even knowing the basics.
