Bastick can try but it fails spectacularly, but then anything would against anything as genius as Catallena.
The layers in Catallena are amazing, not to mention the production is so far above a single synth line that I don't know how they're comparable. The entire concept of it was miles beyond Lipstick too, I mean the objectification of women through the video and lyrics are so much more impressive, interesting, and complex than Lipstick as a PG sex anthem.

I just, why is Lipstick considered a better song, let alone single.

I'm with team Lipstick tbh. If social commentary and complex production is what makes a song better to you then so be it but Lipstick is catchier and decidedly more fun to dance to.

Blueberry sis nooo, not even close. That was a way to get through to y'all since I find it more difficult to sit here and explain how the song itself is better. Personally the simple synths in Lipstick just do nothing for me in comparison to the Catallena synths which change style a lot.
What really hits me with Catallena is the strings and sound effects though. The guitar hits towards the end of verses too, and adds more to it. Idk, Lipstick just kind of bores me.

I also find Catallena more catchy but that's neither here nor there since I've heard it more than Lipstick.
