I looked up some other random characters they could do and those names include:
Napoleon - they had a WW branch of Nintendo called Napoleon to release Hanafuda cards worldwide. Their most popular deck of Hanafuda cards, Daitouryou (president), featured Napoleon.
Nintendoji - Nintendoji is a Japan-only game based on something similar to Hanafuda cards. The protagonist would make a great inclusion.
Mini Kangaroo - Nintendo's mascot during their toy days. That fake leak from the ESRB guy got my hopes up so much.
Chiritorie - Nintendo's vacuum cleaner, created by the same guy who made the Game & Watch series and the Gameboy. Legend.

Also, the Ten Billion Barrel deserves to be a stage. Any other suggestions?

I hope those three return. Out of all the clones, Wolf and Lucas were actually pretty different. It wouldn't be too hard to change up their movesets to make them more unique. And if they're including Toon Link/Link, Bowser/Bowser Jr. and Mario/Dr. Mario/Luigi, then there really is no excuse for them to remove Lucas and Wolf.

And Ice Climbers deserve a returning spot too. They're still one of the more unique characters even with Rosalina & Luma sort of jacking their play style.

I never got to play it or Sticker Star. It's weird that they're doing a Gamecube stage for the 3DS. Shy Guy's Toy Box would have been a much better level, imo, because it would be a lot more unique. There are already pirate ship levels.

Lucina and Toon Link are blatant CLONES so it doesn't make sense to cut Wolf and Lucas since they aren't full clones.

I would only be here for Lucas and Wolf returning if they got significant changes. They're both wastes of space, atm, and should just be alt costumes, especially with the ability to customize movesets.

Boswer Jr. is very different from Bowser (he's got that Paintbrush and his little flying thing) and Rosalina and Luma play like one character that controls a puppet whereas IC are two different characters that both correspond to the attacks you do. They're totally different and I really want both in.

The guy had color palette swaps in advance of certain reveals so I think it's all still possible.

Dark Pit has completely different weapons from Pit, though I think it's crap that he'd get in over Medusa or Hades. Then again, recycling Pit's sprite probably let them make him in half the time it would take a normal character. Same with Dr. Mario.

I love all Paper Mario games. Their stories are always amazing. Sticker Star didn't really have a great story, but it was still amazing for a 3DS game.

I'm stoked for the Paper Mario stage, but the TTYD portion is lackluster. Glitzville would've been better.

Snake was already confirmed to not be coming back tho. The speculated characters list makes sense tho, and I imagine along with Falco and Wolf Krystle seems possible. Dr. Mario seems a bit off tho...since unlike Mewtwo he isn't someone people have been begging to come back.

Dixie was always on my list to be included since she's a big part of most of the DKC games and would fight differently then Diddy Kong.
