The label should have spent the extra $$ to get another singer to really make it the next Lady Marmalade.

No shade at all, but I think it started as Jessie/Nicki for that dream collab and they added Ari to make it a smash. It sounds so amazing though. If this doesn't smash...
Jessie said that Ariana was the first artist on there, and that she wasn't sure about Nicki because she knew she was working on her album and was probably too busy, but gave it a shot anyway, which led to Nicki doing her verse and sending it back in a few days.

Looking at Republic Record's artists, the only one I could see being on Bang Bang, at a huge reach, would be Lorde or the girl from The Voice. Florence came to mind but it would probably be overkill... could you imagine: Jessie J, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and Florence & The Machine!

Florence would have probably been credited solo not with the machine tbh
plusi have a feeling she would have wanted to join in since she did sayshe has a huge love for pop music and even wanted to do a pop solo album but then scrapped that idea to create her third album and not disappoint the band's fans
mostly for Nicki's part tho..
