Oh well, you counted Rihanna's two featured appearances on Eminem's songs and I was referring to songs where both pop-girls are the main the main artists.

Rihanna and her team were working on "new material every month" thing to get her to these sales. This was especially visible during Loud era. Teen love thag as they have short attention span. and the fact that TD had a re-release that actually took more budget and effort than TTT which was supposed to be a Loud re-release.

I just looked up the receipt and realized that Loud and Teenage Dream sold about the same amount WW I always thought TD had sold 2 million copies more than Loud but damn I was dead wrong Didn't it have like 8 top 5 singles?

And kats need to stop with this "TD was only her second album" when she started her career in 2001

There's less extreme situation between Katy and Rihanna though. Difference in record sales is not compensated by amount of song Rihanna has over Katy. And last time I checked Katy's third single Fiework outsold every Rihanna lead this decade and another 3rd Dark Horse is not that far away either. Katy average sales per single are much better than Rihanna.
