The double standard you're all praising her for pointing out is so obvious and too trite a fight for it to be congratulated.

People hardly even glanced at Pills N Potions so Nicki is pulling out all the desperate stops right now. Dissing Iggy Azalea for her success, putting her bare ass on the single cover so people will pay attention to it and proceeding to make it a gender issue so it can't be discredited because now its supposed to be assumed it "stands" against misogynistic or racist double standards.

I think she can be dope, im not trying to be a hater. But lets stop getting caught up in her misdirecting your limited attention spans and see all of this for what it really is, her pure desperation to get people to pay attention to her because they haven't been. Its obvious the sports illustrated ones are classy sexy and modeling bikini's.. Nicki is just glamourizing and perpetuating bad stereotypes for black women. Looks nothing like a bikini modeling campaign. She's obviously desperate for attention being that Pill n potions with its class did nothing for her.

It's not just racism it's sexism too

In all those other pictures the women were naked for the male gaze (esp Sports Illustrated) whereas Nicki is owning her own sexuality and that makes people angry.
Sexuality designed to cater for men isn't threatening or unacceptable however her being powerful, sexual and dominant is threatening cos men are weak pathetic creatures.

I love the cover well done to her for calling out disgusting double standards

At the same time, Sports Illustrated and a single cover for a mainstream artist are two different things.

Not saying anything good or bad about any of the specific pics in the OP, but let's not act like all pictures of all women exhibited in all forms of media should be held to the same standards/guidelines/customs. You can wear a bikini top to the beach, but you can't wear a bra to the store. If you think that is not how it should be, fine, campaign for changing that, but don't act surprised when people expect you to adhere to that cultural moré and are offended when you don't.

At least an inch of each buttcheek is being covered in the SI pics. I can practically see up Nicki's asshole.

Actually, I will say this - I love Nicki, but if I wanted to see what I see on that single cover, I would search the web for straight pr0n. Nudity for nudity's sake is a bit SMH to me. She may as well not be wearing a bottom for all the below-the-waist skin that pic shows, and last time I checked, one can't expose one's self like that in a public setting. But perhaps my outlook on that is affected by the fact that I have no affinity with urban culture or hip-hop in general.

Also, context is the largest part of basically everything when it comes to society and social interactions and behavior and interpretations of behavior, etc. It is very difficult to take a single aspect of life and separate it completely from its context, place a black and white judgement on it, and say this thing is bad and this thing is good no matter the context it is found in. You can use whatever language you like with your friends, but if you swear at your job, you can be fired. Society is full of things that, upon close examination, are double standards, but which are instinctually understood to be the way things are by all members of society who aren't being held back from understanding social interactions properly by a mental disability. If one wants to go against that, then do so while making a statement that you know it was a radical thing to do, and that was your intention. Don't just post something people will think of as a trashy ****ty pic and say nothing and expect people to understand you had subversive intentions rather than think you were just being a trashy ****.
