Omg, not again.

RIP to them. I'm seriously at a loss for words right now, like wtf is going on with commercial airliners lately?? I'm flying international in a few weeks and I'm extremely nervous..

It is just ridiculous that in the space of a few months multiple commercial airliners have had fatalities - people are definitely not overreacting when they're now hesitant to fly etc. It's just ****ed.
The difference between flying and driving is that with flying, you are putting your trust in someone else to take you from A to B. Whereas the reason people don't really fear driving after seeing car accidents is because they are in control of their own car, therefore they have the conscious decision to minimise their own risk etc. It's different when you don't have any control of the situation, like the 298 people when they sat happily on that plane not knowing they were about to be shot down out of their will.

This!! People need to stop throwing around that statistic, because it's really not helping.

Also, commercial airplane accidents are almost always fatal to a majority of people on board. Not so with car accidents. A commercial airliner crashes and we instantly lose about 100 people. A car crashes and we lose maybe 4 on average (assuming it's actually a fatal accident).
