Their cabin crew might be renowned for their exceptional service but they're not the ones serving the aircraft, the disappearance of MH370 exposed the airlines shady cost cutting measures. As for the airlines responsibility in both incidents, well we don't know what happened to 370 so nothing can be ruled out. As for MH17, well it's already been established that they flew that route because it was cheaper. Yes, 'technically' they were allowed to use that airspace but instead of erring on the side of caution they chose to risk lives to save $$. Not a quality I look for in an airline. The fallout from 370 also proved their incompetence

what airline doesn't cost cut

Those tiny seats on all new airplanes, and all those hefty baggage fees are just the facade of all the cost-cutting measures that literally everyone in the industry is doing

An airline is a business at the end of the day, of course they want to save money. On average, airlines make 2-3$ a seat

even after all the cost cutting.
They've flown that route everyday for a long time

the fact that they had an accident on that particular day doesn't make it magically their fault
And the fallout from 370 was more the fault of the Malaysia Air Traffic Control and Gov't than Malaysia Airlines

Name a single airline company that is capable of doing all that radar and satellite stuff on top of deploying deep-water submersibles
