An A-List star also brings all the quality attention and media to the event they are attending of. (not the kind of attention Kim K, Miley C or Justin Bieber would get, that's called attention whoring and lowering themselves)
That's why booking them is really hard.
I mean let's have a reality check;
Take VMAs for example
Would you be excited if they announce;
-Lady Gaga will bring a surprise performance!
-Beyoncé will open the show!
-Rihanna will be closing the show!!
-Britney Spears is taking back the VMA stage this year!!
or would you be more excited if they just go and announce;
-Katy Perry will open this year's VMA Awards!
-Selena Gomez will have a surprise performance!!
-Demi Lovato is gonna hit the VMA stage for the very first time.
I mean i am not talking about you ATRL people, i am talking about GP. Think deeper

Beyoncé is an é-list star! She has her own tier. She is on MJ/Madonna level and you just gotta have to deal with it, simple as that.
