Drake drops his anticipated, uninteresting, "Started From The Bottom"-esque 0 to 100 / The Catch Up. The track ultimately leaves nothing to the imagination and is more of the same Drake fans should be used to. Drake's frustratingly, whiny rapping does nothing in terms of sustaining the track once it transitions to "The Catch Up". I'd like to say that there is even one redeeming quality to this track but I can't lie to y'all. Drake is generally best suited for R&B tunes and his melodramatic crooning.

dddddddddddddd Is there typically anything interesting or artistic about switching from one track to another during the length of a single song? Has anyone really pulled it off since JT with "LoveStoned / I Think She Knows"? The answer to both is probably no. It seems especially purposeless with Drake’s newest single "0 to 100 / The Catch Up" - and is done with a lot less finesse in comparison with the aforementioned Timberlake release. If it was a move to show off Drake’s diversity, his lyricism - while definitely strong - fails to display much of a change thematically. This redundancy coupled with the unnecessary two halves of the track make the entire effort seem uninspired and aimless. Overall, "0 to 100 / The Catch Up" feels less like a single-worthy release and more like that of a scrapped recording. --- *score out of 10

I'm not a big hip-hop fan so bare with me on this review folks. Drake's 0 to 100 / The Catch Up features an interesting beat during its 0 to 100 part that gives that part of the song an interesting feeling. As for the 2nd part of the song, The Catch Up starting at around 2:50 its mixing is only well done if you're really not paying attention. The outro of the song is Johan Black for 2 minutes ruining the feel of the song and not being needed at all, not adding anything. Overall I do like the song, the ending is just very unnecessary and therefore I recommend the shorter version.

"0 - 100 / The Catch Up" by Drake

Similar to "Started from the Bottom", I was not impressed by "0 - 100 / The Catch Up" when it first dropped. The song has not grown on me at all since it was released. In comparison, I warmed up to "Started from the Bottom" a month or two following its release. The song as a whole is far from bad yet it still remains unimpressive and a bit boring.

These Soundcloud tracks, which have become a staple for Drake, all lack the Drake touch which has helped make so many songs (his own and those of others) great. The 0 - 100 chorus feels just as wasted as the impressive "Trophies" production.

Reviewing "0 - 100 / The Catch Up" by Drake is certainly a valid argument as to why being a reviewer isn't as easy and enjoyable as it seems. Drake raps yet again about his allegedly impressive leap in success. It seems like Drake has not only been repeating himself thematically, but also sonically. I could almost hear myself rapping "started from the bottom now we're here" over the chorus (and the verses for that matter. Drake's flow as a whole is getting very tiresome.

He needs to take some time off and think about his next step.

0 to 100/ The Come Up


The random release by Drake was a shocker to almost everyone since he released an album not too long ago. The song honestly sounds like it was an outtake off NWTS (IDK if it is or not), and that's not necessarily a bad thing. I liked the 0 to 100, but it kinda slowed down when the song switched. The Catch Up got boring and pretty unnecessary. However, 0 to 100 has a catchy hook/chorus and shows the usual Drake. I'm not a huge fan of the track cause I was hoping for something different, but it's not a bad song at all. Drake doesn't really cease to amaze anyone recently and this song is no different.

Although simple and ordinary, the song is still good and reminds everyone that Drake is never tired and never finished with anything he does.

Drake - "0 to 100 / The Catch Up"

Drake's flow is not to be messed with. He knows how to rap, but this time it doesn't fully come together in this two part track. "0 to 100 / The Catch Up" is a song I will probably forget about in a month. The first half of the song is very aggressive and in your face. Lyrically Drake's already told us that he made it, now he has to step up his game to remind us why he deserves to stay on top. In the second half, it begins to make sense and works a lot better. It also seems more real, whereas the first half didn't feel completely believable. Were the second part of the song released on its own, it would be more memorable and one I would find myself listening to.
