Didn't you hear? She used her biggest night (2010 VMAs) to make a statement against Don't Ask, Don't Tell, she used the apex of her career and popularity to release Born This Way and carry the message of it into a tour that went through many countries, some of which have notoriously apparent homophobia (she was forced to cancel her near sold-out Jakarta show), she left a lucrative Target deal that would have earned her money from exclusive rights to sell a special edition of her album because they wouldn't support an LGBT charity she wanted as part of the deal, she made YT videos asking American fans to call their senators to voice their opposition to Don't Ask, Don't Tell and encouraging fans in states that were voting on same-sex marriage to get out and support it, she's appeared and spoken and/or performed at Europride, the Human Rights Campaign Dinner in DC, the National Equality March, San Francisco Pride, NYC Pride, NewNowNext Awards, among others, she spoke out against Russia's homophobic policies boldly questioning why they didn't arrest her when she was there and addressed her crowd with liberal remarks angrily criticizing Russia's stance causing some to walk out.....
What sort of exploitation.
