Crying over everything white people do wrong for your life will just leave you bitter, racist, and mad while they remain happy with your culture.
Crying everytime white people make something from black culture bigger in their way isn't doing anything. We need to find something productive. Such as college, child support, etc.

But at this point America is too much of a Multicultural place for you to be trying to break **** off into fractions. I would rather have one big American culture that everyone give a little and partakes in. Even if there are certain things that some people don't want to take part in they understand it and respect it, but that's just me.

My problem is that white Americans like to take from us without proper credit and claim it as their own. Jut a week or so ago that place Urban Outfitters ripped off a traditional Ethiopian Dress with a special fabric we created and just call it "Nice 90's dress" or some **** and gave us 0 credit.
They do the same with music too. They wanna take rock music then call Elvis the King. They wanna take Britney Spears and wanna act like she was something more than a talentless Janet Jackson impression act. They wanna say **** like "Eminem is the best rapper" and praise Iggy Azalea's ugly cellulite sand filled ass when they TRASHED Nicki for having implants. They wanna listen to Sam Smith, Adele and MAGIC but no one else etc
I'm all for everyone taking from each other in America but I'm not for people taking and claiming it as their own, acting like they made it and acting like they did it best. If white "Rastafarian" are wearing dreads, do they want to speak patois to because I'll kick one of them in the throat if I hear it. What is so wrong with their cultures, why do they need to be so interested in ours?

Funny, I posted this picture because, Native Americans were in an OUTRAGE when they saw it.
Nobody denied the legitimacy of their anger. Victoria Secret QUICKLY removed it from their show, never to have it again.
But when black people complain about the same type of appropriation, we need to shut up and get over it.

It's just the audacity of it all.
My people have been twerking since I was born. It didn't become a thing until Miley did it and made millions from it.
Females have been rapping forever and are really good at it. But now radio is giving it MAJOR play because Iggy's doing it.
I've been listening to trap music since the 90's. It didn't become a thing until Baauer and Seattle white pop took it and made it mainstream.
It's fine when you're apart of the culture, but when you take from the culture and give nothing back, it's pure appropriation.

|
That's not what I'm saying though.
I know that Culture appropriation is a thing
I'm one of the first people to yell "white people stole rock and roll!"
But I feel like now a days people are blurring the lines and not getting what is appreciation and appropriation and yes that does include white people cause they do some **** **** there is no denying that.

As proven, you sound bitter, racist, and angry.
Crying over something once in a while that's genuinely something to be mad about, okay.
Crying everytime you hear a white artist not being white? Who cares? Nobody if it remains #1 on Hot 100.

You're misinformed.
See, I have two college degrees, I don't pay child support, and I am not crying.
My ability to think critically about certain topics is why I am as passionate as I am about everything
I do. I hope as you grow cognitively you'll be able to understand what appropriation is, and why it
hurts those being appropriated.

Tip: Don't be that one counterproductive ass Black person that tells Black people to stop complaining about racism.
Our situation is basically stage 4 cancer. We can go into aggressive chemo or we can sit home and smoke.

You don't get a damn thing and that's the problem. No one is bitter OR racist over a topic that is very much real.

I never said white people stole anything, your words.
But if you think appreciation can be confused with appropriation then you, like iHype, may be missing the point.

Ya'll sitting here saying white people are evil, thieving, and stealing in every way then pretending to like them will never be believable.

I get what you're saying. I understand it completely.
I just feel like people today don't know how to look at things objectively.
Somethings are cultural appropriation and need to be called out immediately
and other things are small but still get treated like a new World War is about to begin.
But then again I guess it makes sense.
If you don't make a fuss over it all they won't hear you.
So I get you I just like take a step back look at both sides and form my own opinion.
And that's my biggest problem is I feel like at some point some people just end up a mirror version of the thing they oppose only with the opposite opinion and I honestly don't think two of the same extremes can make much difference, but I could be wrong.
