For those who are Gay and still think being Gay is a sin that can make you go to hell, then why stand under what promotes it?

There's no like rouge Muslim sect that accepts gay Muslims openly?

People keep saying no for Christianity but there's like a thousand different sects who split over tiny **** like the songs during mass being too upbeat.

But anyway, many openly welcome gay members.

Personally, I feel religion is for yourself. So, you can believe in whatever you want no matter who you are or what you are sexually attracted to.

That implies there might be other levels and things you can't live with.
My point is it shouldn't not even be considered a "sin" to begin with, so all this talk of God loving the sinner no matter the sin shouldn't even come into it.

The Episcopal Church and the United Methodist Church are ok with gays.

But the thing about this is no if you believe the bible.

The bible says you aren't. So whether you have sex then decide 'Oh, I'm still gonna be accepted anyways' you aren't a Christian at the end of the day according to the Bible.

Isn't homosexuality prevalent in the Middle East because of the cultural boundaries between the two genders? I've heard that it's now become common and socially acceptable for two umarried males to have homosexual relationships there.

But I think the biggest positive to come out of religion is that it should be a motivator to be a good person, and always strive for improvement in what you do.

Whereas the mindset of "I'm going to hell no matter how I live my life or only if I DON'T act on my sexual orientation" just seems to me like an unhealthy burden to carry around and that you're carrying on in an institution that's maybe not the most compatible for you.

But then I don't know how he specifically feels or if I misconstrued his words because I was just asking and all I got back from him was an 'okay.'

The point is that people follow their religion after constantly breaking it's rules. And breaking a commandment is always the bigger sin. So if people who do these things accuse homosexuals of going to hell, then they are too.
