Most of the stuff just hasn't been finished really. The game was something completely different (based on leaks) two months before The Sims 4 was announced. They have literally changed the entire game they spent 5 years developing in under a year. I feel bad for Maxis tbh.

Skyscrapers came from Late Night which btw is one of the bets TS3 EPs IMO. The only problem is how empty the clubs are

And that is why many things have been removed and the game looks cartoony. Not the "art style" To each is their own, I don't want to go back and forth again. Just making a statement.

You can still play your old TS2 games. I think stopping technical support means that, if they were to release another patch or update for TS2 (which they most probably won't), it would only work with the Ultimate Edition.

The Sims 3 in general suffers from a lack of Sims. It's infuriating.
Hopefully the amount of Sims in the Sims 4 stays the same as what it was in previews.

The Sims 3 always boasted heaps of people but in the actual game you were lucky to get more than like five sims per lot. Places like the library, gym, pools, beaches were ghost towns.

Well I legit had an issue - My Family Fun Stuff pack was scratched and wouldn't install any longer, so I called to see what they could do. He asked me for my Stuff pack code, then said he'd make me an origin account. Then he asked if I had the base game and I said I did and I gave him the code, and then he told me since they're no longer supporting TS2 he'd give me a free download of The Ultimate Collection on the 22nd.

Only thing that sucks is I have to uninstall my game to install the Ultimate Collection, so I need to figure out how to save all my game files before I install it. But otherwise I'm thrilled

Not sure how TS2 files were set up since I was young when I played... but, if there is a save files folder if you move it to desktop, then move it to the new TS2 UC folder you should be fine.

I remember when the sims in TS4 were first revealed in that promo image and everyone dragged them but I still tried to support them. I regret that now because looking back, wow they look a mess.
