1. Any one who reviews and rates will be counted for the score; there is no minimum or maximum. You will not be counted if it looks like you are trolling and your review is less than the 10 sentence minimum. Everyone has been doing great with their reviews, so we haven't come across those issues yet! Those will probably come up during releases from the big main pop girls.

2. We're not only just doing albums, we are also going to be reviewing singles. We want to be a little more different than metacritic, so we are doing the same scoring for singles as well. As for choosing what to review, we're going to focus on new releases watching Music News for those releases. Us moderators will probably discuss what to review next, but we do recommend what to review. If we get a majority recommendation, we'd be more likely to review that.

3. One week is the maximum time length to review. Like I said we are going to focus on new releases, so we will be taking advantage of leaks. If something major leaks, expect the deadline to be shortened to about 24 hours or shorter of the content that we are reviewing currently so we can jump while things are hot. ATRL rules will still apply, so no asking of links of any kind or posting download or streaming links of any kind.

i AM really excited about the idea and i dont have any new releases im anticipating so i might just take a shot and listen to an album thats being considered here!! but i think i'll pass over Sia. im afraid i am late and dont want to give a rushed review just for the hell of it!

1. i meant, say a relatively unknown band releases an album, not completely unknown but someone like 30 Seconds To Mars or Neon Trees. So how do i get you to include that album in The OP? how many people must review it to be made official? or will it be included only if i send my review? or i can only review an album thats already been put up in the OP!?
am i making myself clear now?

2. can i PM you or one of the other mods if i want an album to be reviewed? or a single? Im only talking about new releases ofcourse!

3. 24 hours from the official date of release?! i never llisten to leaks, but i guess i can if i want to review an album here!! i DO get your point!!

I don't know exactly how long this will be open, but I know you have at a maximum until next Monday to get your review in. You don't have to rush anything!

Sia, she's an amazing singer. I love her voice, it's unique, raspy, and big. Unfortunately, that's all she's really got going for her. Her songwriting can be great at times (See: Chandelier) but overall, it feels rushed. Which isn't even a feeling at this point, she said herself she writes her songs very quickly and sometimes under a few minutes. Now, being a musician/producer I know magic can happen and sometimes amazing songs just flow right out. That happened with Diamonds, a great pop song, wish she kept it herself.

Another thing I notice about Sia is her pronunciation. Sometimes it works in her favor, sometimes it just is horrid like on Big Girls Cry. Literally all I could really make out was "Big girls cry when their hearts are breaking", the rest is wailing to me. Her melisma can get just ridiculous at times, that can be good but not for me.

Vocals aside, the production is pretty fun and poppy. I overall like it, it reminds me a lot of Sheezus, the quick snares and hi hats, huge widened drums, big layered synths with some hard piano key hits. Unfortunately, it gets very overproduced at times, and not only that but holy **** it feels like I'm listening to a Sheezus leftover.

The slow songs are the worst part of this record, they simply drag on and like I said her use of melisma get way too extreme here. Where are the faster songs are way better suited to her voice, it doesn't give her time to stretch out those notes to ridiculous proportions. Elastic Heart and Chandelier are proof of this. I think my favorite song off this record is Free The Animal, it's simply amazing, the production on her vocals is great. The screams are great, and her vocals are clear! If only this album didn't drag on half the time, too many songs sound the damn same.

Maybe if I was reviewing after a couple of listens like most of y'all I would've given her less. The album grew on me since last week,
