Because radio adds and radio promotions can cost a lot of money. They were probably not impressed with how little airplay the track was getting before it's adds date so they decided it wouldn't benefit them monetarily. You're forgetting HWR never treated their young acts like real musicians, it was all about how much instant attention, or sales, or immediate airplay they could get and then they would determine if they wanted to push further or not.

Their publishing company pays the artist and everyone involved with the song (writers, producers, etc.) EVERY TIME it's performed based on very complicated payment systems that I couldn't even begin to explain (and I don't understand fully either). The record label pays for travel expenses and coverage mostly.

I was saying I think people are more accepting of them now.

So on ASCAP I noticed a lot of Hilary's new songs have Kobalt as a publisher. On new performances then, Kobalt will pay everyone then correct? So why would a record label limit an artist's performances (especially when most are in LA - making travel not an issue)?

I agree that radio is much more accepting of former Disney acts, I'm looking forward to that.

And I'm sorry I made a mistake, it's the the performance rights organization (ASCAP and BMI) that pays for the artists and the people involved with each song for each performance. Although they do it in different manners. I always call them publishers by accident. Lol Kobalt works primarily with songwriters for administrative purposes and such.

I can't answer your last question Steph as I don't work for a record label. Most of the time it seems to have to do with the promotional budget set aside for each individual artist and each part that goes into an era. This would seemingly answer why unknown acts get smaller slots every so often on network television shows but can't really do many of them at a time.

Singing 'Live'
I hope Hilary is singing live but I think she does because most all of the artist out there does it. And she now has a other genre music so maybe this gives her more the comfort for singing live. I don't know why Hilary mostly didn't sang live during her Metamorphosis till Dignity period. I always thought it was the fault of HWR and otherwise I thought that Hilary wasn't comfortable about her singing voice or to insecure.

First Single
If we don't have this single in four weeks then we should be worried because then the time to promote is actually gone. But we have still four weeks to go so hopefully we can manage that with each other! I think she is finished recording because I haven't seen her doing that lately so she is preparing her single I GUESS? Maybe we get something every week! Maybe it's all sooner and we are maybe this week like :O WHAT?! The Music Video has to come early but the single earlier, so it can be nominated to the MTV Video Music Awards.

Album Recording
If I look at the list RightNow had I see that her latest recording was on June 3rd and the last was on June 26th. So I think they had to do have some vocals done that last day I guess and now it's Done?!
