That's because Drake's song was released more than 1 month ago. And people still buy whatever has "Drake" on it. Nicki still has power too, but not how she used to.
And Nicki's pop stuff sold pretty well on 2012. I mean, VVV peaked at #22 with no promo at all, besides that terrible music video.
I think The Pinkprint will stabilize Nicki in hip hop kinda like Take Care did with Drake.
I don't care that much about mainstream success anymore.
I miss those times, though.
