Why did I write this song?
There's blood on the walls,
And people dead in the streets
Children talking backwards
And us between the sheets
There's nothing right about our lives
And certainly nothing right about you
That doesn't mean I can't have any fun
Are you into that, too?
I'm not your Holy woman
But I can be your sinful lover
The end is getting closer and closer
Might as well take cover
(Holy, holy, holy woman)
The end is getting closer and closer
Might as well take cover
(Holy, holy, holy woman)
I'm not your Holy Woman

Am actually thankful that Lucky & Egle agreed with me on this, but am not here for only me getting told to silence when I've been mute until now.

I mean yes, this game's about creativity and bending the rules, but I think sometimes it's just kinda cringeworthy to have some artists do some particular things. I mean, back in CAL3 I remember Robbie talking about the kind of era he was heading with Marina at the time, which sounded amazing. And I'm not saying you should let him have Marina just because you're trying to promote using controversy - almost everyone does a bit now and then. It's just the way that it's being done, and seeing that another member could take that artist and give the artist a great amount of success and creative direction which is better than the current one; it's a little hard to watch. But do what you want sis, if you're really passionate about Marina then yeah

As Queen Mariah would say - I'm out, dahhhlings.

Trust me sis, at first I couldn't take any jokes what-so-ever (I'll bring up receipts from past seasons later), but now I've kinda learned the tide/social aspect of the game and it's all good now. As for how Marina's doing, I mean I normally wouldn't pay much attention to the controversy/management of an artist. But seeing that somebody else wants to sign that artist, it's kinda a different situation you know? I mean I actually loved you putting **** Is Good For the Soul on the album (it better be remastered and produced because I'm not here for that ukelele ****) but some of the stuff Marina's been doing I just hadn't agreed with. But I guess it's none of my business. That's all

Anyway, with the exception of the cover (which is truly awful), I was so glad I made this song & post.
Quote:
The "working" cover:
Written by: Marina Diamandis, Łukasz Gottwald, Henry Walter, Rick Nowels
Produced by: Dr. Luke, Marina Diamandis, Cirkut, Porter Robinson, Rick Nowels
Genre: Alternative pop, electronic, dubstep
Length: 5:37
"With an intro sadder than any death you've ever known of, you'd think this song would put you in a depressing mood immediately. However, the song switches back and forth between sounds. It opens up with piano plinks every few seconds with Marina vocalizing over them with the voice of a siren trying to lure sailors to their dangerous rocks, distant and haunting. By the time the first verse opens, there's a constant bass that teeters back and forth, sounding like it's about to erupt violently and blow out the speakers with a drum beat that only seems to hit every few seconds, giving an uneasy feeling with a lack of rhythm, but still addicting; one of the more memorable lines in the first verse is: 'Things may never be how I wanted, but I'll still ****ing kill her if she tries it'. The prechorus is more familiar to the pop world, with a four-on-the-floor drumbeat, but nothing more than the piano plinks from the intro and more of Marina's amazing vocals; 'I don't mean to be bitter, I just want things badly, am I wrong?' she coos over the innocent beat. The first half of the chorus is almost empty, with just her vocals over the rare drum stomp; 'When you touch me, I want to scream... I don't think I'm going to be alright'. After a brief, total emptiness, with absolutely no sound, the drums return quickly with another four-on-the-floor beat, and the bass is nearly deafening; it roars and moans, begging for you to move to it. There are wiggling synths that demand this song be stuck in your head forever as she continues to go on in a heartbreakingly perfect cascade of vocals: 'I may seem like I'm cool, but you give me needles and pins... I'm not alright, I'm breaking inside, I don't think my life can handle it this time'. The second verse is newer, with a drum beat similar to the verses in Katy Perry's 'Dressin' Up", but nothing more than the drums and airy synths that make you lightheaded in pleasure. Halfway through the verse, there's a heartstopping bass drop that only lasts for one beat, and you sort of wonder if you just imagined it, or if it really happened, and you're bound to rewind to listen to it again; it's only a hint of the middle 8 to come later. The chorus comes again, but instead of the dead silence between the two parts of it, that bass drop occurs once again, with two beats this time, a giant wub and wub, which is sure to cause some speakers' drivers to break, but it's perfect. After the chorus, there's more emptiness, with the sound of wind that lasts for a few seconds, making you think the song may just fade out, but of course not: The bass hit from earlier comes back, but it's faded, as if ready to build up. There's a brief wobbling bass in the background again, and it's clear something big is about to hit. Finally, all Hell breaks loose in a heartstopping, breathtaking dubstep drop that makes any and all dubstep breaks from past pop stars' songs seem weak. 'I tried to make you notice me then, but you were too blind. Am I wrong to go and end her life so you could notice mine?' Marina cries, desperate for the man of her dreams to give her some attention. It returns to the second half of the chorus with a newer beat, stomping and dramatic, with an increasing clap in the background that builds up to the end where everything stops dead, and fades out with the wind that was there just before the middle 8."
"When you touch me, I want to scream
I don't think I'm going to be alright.
I just need you to grab my hand,
Perhaps a kiss goodnight.
I may seem like I'm cool,
But you give me needles and pins
I'm over here starving myself to look good
For you, I'd give it all to be perfectly thin
I'm not alright, I'm breaking inside
I can't take another break
I don't think my life can handle it this time."

But right now, I'd probably have her working with Alex da Kid, Rick Nowels, the Flaming Lips, J. R. Rotem, and a few others, with maybe a song or two produced by Ryan Tedder or Bloodyshy & Avant.

Marina & The Diamonds performs free concert at London Eye
Marina & The Diamonds gave London fans a special treat this afternoon: a surprise concert at the London Eye! The show announced at 10 AM and began at 2 PM. Marina premiered a new song at the concert, "Sunday Morning", which was made available after the concert as a promo single for Marina's new album, "Myths". She also used the concert to announce the final tracklist of her album.
The concert began with the intro of "Happy Meal"'s Orchestral Version as Marina made her way onto the stage where she was met with a roar from the audience. She waved to the audience and began singing. She crowd sang along with Marina, assuring the song was a hit with both fans and the general public. Two screens on the stage displayed the lyric video of the song as Marina sang. When the song ended Marina pulled the microphone up to her mouth to talk to the audience, "Hello London! It's great to be back in London again, I know I've been doing a lot of stuff in America, but I'll definitely be staying in London for the duration of the week! Today I have a very special show for you guys. This next song was a song me and a friend made while we were on tour in the US. It's called Just Desserts." Marina swipes the microphone down as the instrumental of Just Desserts begins. Marina sings Charli XCX's part, mimicking her voice as best as possible. The screens on the stage showed an ice cream cone in someone's hand being held up into the sky as sprinkles fall from the sky onto the ice cream cone. Marina sings her part while jumping around the stage, and, when the song comes back to Charli's part, Marina sits on the edge of the stage and puts the microphone to a fan's mouth as he sings along to the song. Marina stands up after a few lines, smiles, and finishes the song. The beat of "How To be A Heart Breaker" begins as Marina turns her head to the audience to sing the song. She jumps and twirls around the stage during the song, seemingly having an extremely great time. When the song ended, Marina walked off stage and the screens on stage changed to this picture:
Marina came back on stage in the blue dress from the picture above as the beat of "Myths" began. Balloons started falling from the top of the stage, and as Marina sang she would hit some of the balloons into the audience. When the song is almost done, the beat of primadonna starts. Marina twirls in her dress as she makes her way to the edge of the stage. She acts very pretentious and full of herself as she walks at the edge of the stage. As she sings she looks out into the crowd and reaches her hand out. She retracts it as the beat picks up and she begins jumping around the stage. The song ends and Marina begins singing "Hollywood". She walks over to a piano on the stage as she plays while singing. The screens on stage show a kiss cam, featuring several audience members. The screen changed to a slide show of old pictures of Marina as she began to play "Teen Idle" on the piano. The audience sings along as Marina gives an amazing performance of the song. Halfway through the song, the screens switch to a close up view of Marina singing. The last screen transition of the performance is a view of the audience as they sing along. The song ends and Marina starts to talk to the audience, "Whew. This next song is a new one off the record. It's kind of a mixture of Teen Idle and my friend Sia's new album, 1000 Forms of Fear. This is Sunday Morning." Marina begins the song with a 30 second long piano solo until claps started playing and an explosion of music began. Marina jumps out of her seat and begins singing. The song is reminiscent of 80's pop/rock. Marina drops it low when she walks to the edge of the stage to sing to the audience. When the song ends the audience roars. Marina smiles and immediately jumps into the next song, "Where The Diamonds Grow". The screens on stage show animated diamonds falling from the sky. Marina dances around the stage and the audience dances along with her. Near the end of the song (in an instrumental focused part of the song), Marina jumps out into the audience and crowd surfs. When it comes time to sing the intro, Marina makes her way back to the stage and sing the end of the song. "Thank you all for coming today! I know it was short notice but it means so much you all came! My new album is out on the 19th! See you guys tomorrow at Free The Nipple!" She waves goodbye and makes her way off the stage.

2. Just Desserts (Solo Version)
3. How To Be A Heart Breaker

A ritard, the name given to those in Rita Ora's fan base, took Ms Ora a bit too literally. Rita released a new promo single off her highly anticipated album called "Fire Starter" just yesterday and in just a day the track has already brewed controversy. Alan Carr, 21, started a neighborhood fire after trying to create a homemade video for Rita song. When being questioned at the police precinct, he admitted to trying to create the latest viral hit before things got out of hand.
According to Carr, it all started early Tuesday morning after he heard Rita's "Fire Starter." He saw the attention the song was getting on social media, especially on Vine where people played the song in the background as they set things on fire. So he decided to make his own video for YouTube. He set up his camera and started by lighting his cigarette with a blow torch. He then picked up his camera and went around his house filming himself torching up his parents' furniture. He left the cigarette which he had been smoking on one of the armchairs and forgot to crush it. Then he went out to Best Buy to go buy some more things to burn, leaving the cigarette to cause a fire. By the time he returned, he had successful brought half his neighborhood to the ground.
The firefighters and the cops were already at the house, and found the camera recording of him torching furniture. Ironically the song playing on the radio when the firefighters arrived was "Fire Starter." Although no one was killed, six adults were seriously injured and they have pressed charges against Rita Ora and her label. Rita's reps have refused to comment on the issue.

"Needles and Pins (I'm Not Alright)" - #1
"Holy Woman" - #4
"Shattered Light" - #7
"No Second Chances" - #3
"Fake Monroe" - #2
Then "You Should Know..." would've gone #1 if it hadn't been for the game ending.

Uhmmm y'all, the #1 touring force in this season of CAL, Natalia Kills, is hitting the road for her "Ko-Motion World Tour" and she'll be needing a good opening act, if possible 2 for the different legs of the tour. If you want to join on this AMAZING tour, hit me up. I am literally working on and writing every song.
