Has anyone else paid attention to the rollout for R5's new single? They had like a teaser page hinting at a new song two days ago when you went to their website, then today they randomly announced the EP would go for preorder tonight and be AVAILABLE next Tuesday... Hmmm...

Yeah, tbh I was a little annoyed when I saw that they had a new EP coming out. I really wanted Andre to be able to focus on Hilary full time. That being said, they are on Hollywood Records, not Hilary's label, so unless Andre pitched an idea to tease the single two days before and she went for it...

I don't really think the same rules apply, Hilary's last album was seven years ago. R5 also is releasing a brand new album this year, this EP is just something in between albums to satiate fans.

Well he keeps hashtagging #ilovejuly and a lot has been going on for both acts so... And he does manage both so I feel like this strategy may be something he pitched to both labels. For example, since R5 is priority this week and early next, what if something similar concerning Hilary occurs next week and then the following week, the single premieres on like July 31st.

Meh. Probably just wishful thinking.

I mean anything is possible at this point. I hope they don't tease the single two days before and expect it to just sell on it's own like that though. I edited my last post to say that their new EP is just four songs for fans in between their LPs so there are lots of differences in their situation when compared to Hilary's. But if Andre pitched that for Hil, I will be pretty pissed tbh, Hilary doesn't have the Disney machine behind her anymore like they do.
