I watched it last year and I fell asleep multiple times. Beautiful imagery and all (Keira was stunning as always) but it felt so extended. Even the friend I watched it with (who also read the respective book) said it was quite boring but so must've been the book. She had a hard time going through it even though she was interested.

Kiiiinda got this impression. But have you seen all of Joe Wright's films though? He can be a bit of an acquired taste tbh so just want to make sure. If you have, could you compare?

Anyways. Need to get caught up on all the movies in contention so far (film awards are so much more interesting than music and the Emmys are so obvious most of the time tbh). Pulling for Jessica Chastain but we'll have to see who comes up against her. She should have been nominated for The Tree of Life instead of The Help and should have won then and there but at least this is keeping her career alive and healthy.
