I think their family will be attacked. Jonny defends the pregnant Sonya and gets killed in the process. Sonya manages to escape with the help of *insert new character*. Sonya will be hunt down as well, and the little Cassie gets saved by someone. That person is gonna train her to be an A+ assassin.

It just seems so out-of character for Sonya to just do it then and there. I don't think Cassie is 25, shes probably like 22.
And the reason I think Sonya dies is because Cassie is in the Special Forces. Maybe her mom died protecting her. Maybe this is her way of kind of honoring her mom. She has Johnny's attitude for the most part, so im guessing she developed that while being raised by him. (If he died, I think shed be a lot more serious like Sonya)
I remember I read somewhere that it would be interesting if Cyrax was helping her out. He was in the SF in the old timeline. Maybe Sonya and the SF help him regain his soul in this new timeline and as thanks becomes a part of the team, When Sonya dies, he promises to protect Cassie and helps her out in the SF to train her.( kinda like her Oracle)
I think Cassie is gonna watch one of her parents die while shes young. That'll probably be some motivation for her.
