I'm sure there will be other dance-pop songs on the album (but hopefully better), so I guess it might fit in with those songs. And she sounds like Demi Lovato at some moments in the song and I'm not a huge fan of Lovato's tone

It doesn't produce much income for artists and it doesn't help sales either. You have Taylor, for example. who doesn't release her music on Spotify instantly (but waits like 7 months to make an album/single availabe on Spotify), and who's signed to an independent label that needs every coin it can get to be able to achieve that huge marketing campaign and plan a big tour with a huge stage.
