I agree. The films really watered him down. He's supposed to be the leader of the X-Men, he's a bad ass. But you couldn't even tell that in the films, since like you said he was hardly there at all. But hopefully Apocalypse does his character justice.

And I hope Bryan will be able to direct it as well as write. But if he can't they better give it to Matthew Vaughn.

Yeah we saw a glimpse of his leadership skills on liberty island when they were trying to rescue Rogue but that was it really.

Yeah same, Bryan really knows what hes doing with this cast/characters in the most part and the DOFP could've been a DISASTER but it got rave reviews, Its sad to think how much better X3 and first class could of been with him as the director. (he did have a role on first class if i remember correctly but I don't think he was director)

All New X-Men is actually pretty good. I could see it being adapted into a film(s) because it involves the original team time traveling to the present and they stay.

But Schism, Battle of the Atom and House of M are my favorite storylines. (excl. dofp)

You won't really miss much with the first season but it's good to watch because it kinda explains the origins of everything. Now season 2 on is when the **** get's good

Porbably Giant Size X Men. I mean cyclops, storm, colosuss, nightcrawler and wolverine on the same team is genius .

I'm loving the all-female X-Men comic running right now. I also really like All-New X-Men and the current Uncanny X-Men.
