Maybe her label got the digital sales release and realized "Womanizer" won't be hitting #1 (Hopefully I'm wrong) so they decided to suppress it longer so that she can get to #1. If it isn't going to #1 on the Hot 100 this week than that's a smart move, otherwise... I don't get it.
I just don't understand it, why would any sane pearson would do that?
This is so effed up .
if she would be number one this week she might had a chance to keep it or drop only 1-2 places...I just don't get it.
Maybe they realised that Womanizer is not going #1 this week, so they want to repress her sales and wait till Womanizer grows more on radio and for Britney to promote the song, and THEN put it back up on iTunes.
While his 1,008-page tome covers everything from rock and jazz to classical and world music, Moon, a critic for National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered,” knows the guff is going to come in the areas of pop and country.
For example, Billy Joel, Mariah Carey, Bette Midler, Celine Dion, Barry Manilow and Christina Aguilera get shut out, but — gasp — Britney Spears makes the list.
“Forget about her as a tabloid creature and think about her as a recording artist,” Moon said. “When you try and look for great singles that came out after the year 2000, I kept coming back to ‘Toxic.’ I think that may be the best example of the art of the pop single since 2000.”
Britney Spears' Womaniser video records seven million hits in 48 hours
Britney Spears' new music video Womanizer has recorded seven million hits in 48 hours, according to reports.
The video is directed by Joseph Kahn, the man behind the clip for Britney's earlier release "Toxic".
The raunchy single portrays Spears in various states of undress, while she is also seen dressing up as a secretary, a roller-skating waitress and a chauffeur.
The video has been viewed millions of times on YouTube since being uploaded at the weekend.
There are high expectations "Womanizer" will confirm Spears' comeback following a troubled few years, during which she suffered a nervous breakdown.
The singer won three awards at the MTV VMAs last month. Her new single is the first from her forthcoming album Circus, which is released later this year.
She has also recently shed 10lb after going teetotal to get her body in shape for the video.
A source told The Daily Star: "The video has already been an amazing success and is just going to keep getting bigger.
"Brit still has a lot of fans and everyone wants to see her back to her best. Other people are checking it out to see if it's a car crash but loving it so much they are watching it again and again.
"This should definitely help her win back her pop princess crown back after a difficult time."
