This is the textbook definition of a song that was done wrong by being included as a bonus track, think 'Super Bass' but without gaining recognition as a single.
This is actually better than lots of the songs on the album proper. The album was often criticised by their older fans for being too pop, and this is a great example of how they can use both of them together to create a great song that everyone can enjoy. But Superiore basic people will be basic people and refuse to recognise any bonus tracks I guess
I love this song. You perfectly summed up my thoughts on it.
Yes I'm certainly a little bitchy scene kid when 70% of the music I listen to is pop.
Panic!'s is different to what they've done before, whereas Paramore's is a regression (once again) to the exact same thing they've done every album, albeit more pop-y. Granted there are a few artistic moments and a few songs with different genres which shine but overall it's ~10 tracks of absolute crap that I would be happy to never go back to. Nothing personal, some of the songs on the album are just legit cringeworthy.
That's before we even start on things like the choir in Ain't It Fun.
Edit: Wait, surprise surprise yet another pop fan stanning for Paramore. That's my issue, a lot of people on this forum seem incapable of liking rock albums that aren't more pop than rock.
He didn't lie though I can enjoy genuine rock music (which Paramore definitively isn't) and you do come across as musically pretentious, I cannot see how you can call Self-Titled generic, being poppy and generic are two entirely different things

This is legit one of the biggest loads of crap I've ever read. Right, that's why I listen to classic rock and metal on a daily basis.
I'm just pointing out that you seem to have a thing against poppier music as it doesn't always mean generic or even bad, and I'm sorry you come across as a musically pretentious asshole. If you can't tell that there is so much growth from their previous albums lyrically and sonically that's just plain ignorance.
Honestly, you seem like one of those bitchy little scene kids that complains about everything on top 40 radio and abandons their fave when they experiment with more "poppy" sounds.
Sis, it couldn't be less personal, I'm just tired of there being 407 Paramore songs left when
a. Fall Out Boy had the best overall album
b. 30 Seconds to Mars had some of the best songs
c. Paramore's album is generic pop crap that makes it the worst in their discography
I tried to judge these albums based on the music, without bias or confliction and I think I managed to do that pretty easily, I don't know why everyone else struggled so damn hard with it.
I know its not personal.
A) That's debatable.
B) A few of their songs did deserve to be really high
C) There's a difference between generic, pop, and crap and the only thing their album is from those things is pop and is not even as pop as people make it out to seem, there are a lot of new waves songs, electro rock, synth rock, and some of them are pop influenced.
Are you seriously saying that? when both Panic and Fall Out's albums have generic pop crap songs as you called them?
And I did that too. Maybe cause the album they have listened the most was Paramore's albums and they already knew/liked the songs pretty well while when they listened to the other albums it might have been their first time and they didn't like the songs?
The first time I listened to Panic's album I said it was pure trash except for like one song and other two kinda caught my attention, had I rated the album then I'd had given lots of low scores but I listened to the album various time and by the last hearing I liked most of the songs.

So you didn't read my post then?
I was literally stating it's a bad colour on Paramore, since they don't need to be so pop-y, it just gives off the air that Hayley's all about hits now. I can't be asked fight when Paramore's most half-and-half album has such a cult following though. Hopefully it only takes another album or two of them doing the exact same thing for y'all to get bored of it like I have.
As for a "musically pretentious asshole", well personally I just love that statement. Like all shade aside it's a great way to describe someone, just not me. Again you took what I said out of context, I was never stating that "generic pop crap" is bad, I said it's bad on Paramore.
So you're literally taking one comment I made about one band and applying it to my entire personality.
But I mean whatever. Have fun with your music, you classical rock fan.

This "delicate, comforting ballad" (popdust.com) has inspired numerous fan fictions across fandoms as diverse as Bring Me The Horizon, Sherlock, and Glee. Millions of YouTubers felt obliged to record themselves doing an acoustic cover of this "lulling, precious ballad sung with an optimistic outlook on love" (sheknows.com). Tumblr is full of ~inspirational graphics created by vintage indie pastel soft grunge hipsters with their illegally downloaded version of Photoshop, incorporating this "touching, emphathetic" (spin.com) song's lyrics. But not only does it inspire every art form, it even transcends genres - Billboard.com claims it "almost feels like a country song". When will Cassadee Pope!
But in all honesty, why does this song slay so hard? According to highlanderlove.org, it is due to the fact that it "provide[s] a more organic form of an indie love song, different from the forced and sometimes emotionless songs on [Paramore's] previous albums". The shade! The Only Exception who? We Are Broken what?
So who could hate on this touching, heartwarming little tune? Where Hayley Williams, the hottest girl on Warped Tour (or so the people in this rate seem to think), goes in full on counselling mode, crooning and serenading the hell out of you as you listen? That's right, only people who don't actually have a heart - also known as hello_world and eteru.

Y'know, this rate is becoming less fun and more full of people attacking me

A Country song?
Cassadee remains bothered with her Country ballads.
