You do realize that Avril writes the majority of the lyrics in her songs and does her own vocal melodies right? When she is in the studio with a producer they work as a 50/50 team and it is documented all over youtube. There were a few songs she did with Max Martin that she didn't want to release because she didn't think she had enough involvement in them. (I Will Be and Alone) 
She never "RAN" to Dr. Luke or Max Martin. Her label suggested that she work with Dr. Luke and she said yes. Avril doesn't give one **** about what is trendy and what isn't. She never "RAN" to Max Martin either. She was forced into the studio with Max Martin by RCA for her fourth album because there wasn't enough radio friendly material on the album. RCA wanted her to redo the entire album but she fought FOR AN ENTIRE ****ING YEAR AND A HALF for the album she wanted to release and finally they settled on only putting a few of the tracks on the album. The only reason she made Hello Kitty was because of her Japanese fans and because she doesn't give ONE **** about what people like you think. Did you not think she knew the backlash would be ridiculous? She doesn't give one **** about the general public, she only cares about her fans and what makes her happy. I'm pretty sure Hello Kitty was just a "**** it why the **** not" song because she was forced into the studio AGAIN by her terrible record label who still thought she should be marketed to teens when she obviously wanted a more mature sound. I honestly feel terrible for her, she keeps getting ****ed over and she deserves NONE of it.
