I thought that the teens/adults/elder height thing was a mistake but it is true and they are actually saying it's too expensive to create different heights.
I feel like the franchise is following the same path of Diablo. The Sims 4 will be the death of The Sims just like Diablo 3 was to Diablo. Hopefully something better will come along

That CANNOT happen. I still want to cry thinking about how much worse and horrible Diablo 3 is when I was playing Diablo 2 up until 2011. I beat it with one char on Normal and never went back. All my classic series can't go to ****.
Delivering on the vision set out for The Sims 4 required focus. Focus on revolutionizing the Sims themselves. So, rather than include toddlers, we chose to go deeper on the features that make Sims come alive: meaningful and often amusing emotions; more believable motion and interactions; more tools in Create A Sim, and more realistic (and sometimes weird!) Sim behavior. Instead of pools, we chose to develop key new features in Build Mode: direct manipulation, building a house room-by-room and being able to exchange your custom rooms easily, to make the immediate environment even more relatable and interactive for your Sim.
'revolutionizing the sims themselves'
in what way did they revolutionize the sims and their personality when they decreased the amount of traits and when they are limiting the stages of sims life
