Yes, it is. Mocking other people's posts throughout those 18 pages doesn't really fulfill the point of the thread, does it?

with Iggy it's almost worse because she doesn't do it spitefully or in hate. she's a part of a system and she and fans alike refuse to acknowledge it so it only makes matters worse.
y'all need to realize that lynching, hanging, killing, beating, threatening, hating and abusing black people are not the only ways of being racist.

As of now, she totally does.
You need to get off her back, nonetheless.

This seriously all boils down to people being mad at Iggy's "forced rapping accent" because she learned it from blacks. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean it is done in bad taste. How is her accent offensive? She grew up listening to the accent that she now emulates. It's not done in bad taste just because you don't find it to be good.

Rapping like a black person is also racist, trust me I learned from this thread.

And I don't think that argument is too far from what you're trying to say

Ok so what you are saying is that the consumers of the music industry—in mainstream, young white girls—mostly support music from other white people (thus, white artists have privilege in this industry). Because white girls support all the white artists, the white artists become very successful and sell the most. When awards come, the white artists win because they are the most successful (capitalism). Yet the very core of this slippery slope comes from white artists being supported more by mainstream music consumers than poc artists, thus making race and privilege very relevant. But race and privilege are not relevant? It's only capitalism? Despite Kanye losing every Grammy against Eminem in a category that has nothing to do with who sold the most?
Do you see where you're losing me?

Instead of implying that I'm dumb, stupid, ignorant, WRITE something and let me know what is wrong with my thinking process.

The day Flare adds to a discussion instead of cosigning other people and posting skull emoji's is the day hell freezes over.

I'm waiting for someone to make an argument without getting to the point where they dismiss black culture, appropriation and the inequality minorities face within the music industry. It's like a vortex. All these people going to bat for Iggy put on their blinders when those issues are brought into the conversation.

well its a bit of a catch 22.
labels are afraid to push black artists cause most of the successful artists are white so obviously the GP isn't here for black artists so to make sure they make their money the push white ones in favor which the GP buys which makes more success.. its a cycle of stupidity. i honestly believe the GP doesnt give a damn

Did you just come through this thread and skim? No offense, but it has been reiterated so many times within this discussion. It's like beating a dead horse at this point.

You're writing as if you do want to understand, so in that case, I would refer you to point 1) in the article. Moreover, I would especially refer you to this article:

That should at least explain to you why the blaccent does bother some.
