I'm tired of having to listen to songs 50 times in order to appreciate it though. You can be edgy while still making a good and cohesive song
I listened to it again, and it does in fact sound a bit better than the first time but it still doesn't strike me as a good song, but acceptable at least. Not 5th year anniversary material though
video is gorgeous, great film technique, great setting, not in a box, no complaints
bass on the verses is great
and here's the thing about that chorus - it's great IN THEORY. if they could keep that melody and production, it would be perfect.........if they didn't switch the BPM. The sample drop is perfect, the melody is haunting and cool, but they try to bring it into this weird house territory that just doesn't mash with a trap beat. The bass kicks get so muddled on my headphones (believe me, studio quality) that I wonder why they put it out like that. It's...too busy. It's *almost* great, but wrong in a few crucial places for me.
but I mean, I'm really impressed with the art direction?
The visuals are A+
The first like 40 seconds are perfection
Luna is EVERYTHING in the blue hair
The song is definitely not something I LOVE on first listen. It's gonna take me a while before I can decide how I feel about it, but I do like it more than Rum Pum Pum thankfully! The beat is >>>>
And Amber SINGING during the bridge
video is gorgeous, great film technique, great setting, not in a box, no complaints

!!!!
It was building up really well for me up until the chorus. f(x) - their IGAB
Don't get me wrong, I love Amber's raps in f(x)'s material but it was so refreshing to hear her singing along with the other members and not having a verse. She wasn't left out either, she still felt like she was in a lot of the song.
