It'll also suck future artists like Rihanna / Katy will get 50 #1's since anytime they release a music video whether the song is good or not it's getting streams to go #1.

I don't think they will. Streaming will become so huge soon enough that the impact of a YouTube video debut will be more or less a splash in a lake. Spotify has reached over 50 million users and grows more each year than the las, with other services like Rhapsody beginning to attract large amounts of people, too.
Personally, my issue with not owning a copy of the albums I like is that it locks everything into whatever format the artist used to release it and it can be pulled at any time. When I own something, I can alter titles, covers, and even the contents and delivery of the song through iTunes equalizers and more advanced softwares. On top of that, the file and the copy of the song or album are mine permanently. With streaming, none of that flexibility has been reliably introduced and my access to recorded content may be limited or prevented at any time.
Streaming is a good thing, but it needs to evolve more in order to be as effective a form of music consumption as the digital format was.
