She should never written or recorded anything while being depressed. Being through it myself, it clouds your view so much. I think it's one of the reasons, bar DWUW and Gypsy, the record sounds pretty hollow cause it misses her soul and passion on it.
I can see why she would not promote it anymore. It represents a stage of her life she might wanna forget asap.
